well after 6 or is it 7 years of trouble free motoring ( apart from fuel pump) the uno didnt go yesterday morning, jump leads out and away she went, i cant believe that the second hand battery of an old alfa lasted all this time, so treated her to a 4 year guarantee bosch, cant have the misses ringing in my ear, anyone else had the battery go down, first freeze it will rear its head, Ant!

LOL, good story. :)
Would we expect anything less from an Alfa Romeo-fitted battery? ;)

My Uno has the original Magneti Marelli battery out of my Stilo. The Stilo was giving spurious warnings - anything less than 12.5 volts and systems get confused. I took the three-year-old battery out and gave it a top-up (prying off the one-piece cap) and a proper charge, but the green indicator stayed black. So I put it in the Uno and bought a new battery for the Stilo.

Four years later the Uno still starts even after months of disuse... really surprising...
