Alright lads, i was on here a couple of months ago and someone had installed mini spotlight neons and had them wired up to a switch that he installed by his coin holder bit by the handbrake. I've just bought mine and was wondering if anyone else has installed any interior neons wired up to a switch and if they could give me a much needed step by step guide.

Cheers

simple

Decide where you want the switch and make sure you divert your wiring there first.

If your going from the battery it will be awkward to get the power wires into the car - with my amp i went from the battery and followed the fuel lines to the rear driver side seat!

Under that there is a small rubber gromit coming from beneath the car!

Easy job!

Hope it helps

Re: simple

It was me lewis, 2 little micro switches,
Remove the coin holder and as long as you don't have electric mirrors there will be a spare wiring loom there, The black is the earth wire and the red with blue stripe and blue with red stripe are live.
I wired mine into this switches off with ignition so no chance of leaving them on.
I ran one of mine under the dash up the side piller, across over the roof lining and fitted it behind my rear view mirror (Lights up my radio with nothing in the way) and the other is fixed just above the rear ashtray and serves the same purpous but also lights up handbrake and gear nob

cheers

Cheers sy! I remembered reading the post and thinking that looks quality. I bought some nine inch neons to go under the seats and you know what the cigarette lighter is like so i thought i'd get a switch. Cheers mate

Re: cheers

i got some under the front footwells, hooked em both up to the back of the ciggarette lighter, if ya pull the wires out you can shove them in, and they turn on with your headlights

Re: Re: Re: cheers

I've got two 12 inch neons in the front footwells and two 8 inch ones under the front seats lighting the rear footwells. All have their own switchs and the rear ones are also connected to a leaf switch under the corresponding rear seat so that they only work when there's a person sat there.
