hey guys, ok i bought this car a few weeks ago, its an r reg marea weekend 2.0 20v hlx, and i love it. it flew through the service so no mechanical problems. but there are some things i would like to do to the car myself. ok here goes;

1. thinking of changing the interior. what other fiat interiors would fit into this car, preferably a sporty version. any ideas? the main colour of my interior is dark grey.

2. the rear speakers are very tinny. i would like to replace them. any direct replacements for these or would i need a new speaker set-up? i have the standard fiat headunit with a 6cd changer installed. also i like using the steering wheel controls so don't really wanna change the head unit unless i can get something compatible.

3. is a k+n air filter worth getting for this car?

4. any good exhaust systems out there? i don't want anything too loud. just something abit more grunty than the standard.

5. the plastic interior trim and on the doors is abit damaged, few scratches here and there. any ideas if theres any products to remove these scratches or minimise them abit?

ok guys, thats about it for moment. i'm willing to put abit of money into my car so if any of you have any ideas, they would be much appreciated. cheers for now, bazza.(y)

When you say dark grey do you mean grey leather? The only other interiors that would fit would be weekend ones, you could put Brava seats in the fronts but the rears would be different.

To minimise the interior plastic scratches you can 1)spray them 2)replace them.

Hi. When I bought my Marea a while back, my first thought I had was that the rear speakers were tiny. So being the tinkering kind of person I am, I made my own little setup that was designed to be used with large boot load's if needed.

Naturally I have my JVC CD/DVD headunit, Components in the Front, the rear setup you see with a hidden kenwood amp where the spare wheel once lived. All I can say is it sounds good and it's loud.

Hope that gives you some idea's.

no its just the dark grey velour seats, so i would be looking at just a straight replacement for the same sort of seats, unless i could get hold of the leather ones?
