need help finding my ecu code

hi i have a fiat punto mk2 1.9td, i have recently had a reconditioned engine fitted which is in full working order, anyway i was told the ecu is down that car began miss firing and then would not start at all so i need to buy a virginised ecu but i dont know where to find the ecu to get the code you need
