need decent sound

hi i have a kenwood head unit KDC-W4537UA and some 2 way kenwood speakers.

sounds crap no bass.

I think the head unit is okay so i really need some speakers.

recommend me some cheap and reasonable sounding speakers.

i take it i need 3 ways?

Door speakers are made for mid range, not bass. If you want bass you want a sub.

You'll get more bass if you fit an amp and power the speaker from that. You'll never get any decent bass from the internal head unit amp.

As for the speakers, what car are they in? Standard speakers normally mount better so have a better base to fire off, meaning a crispier punch.

Component speakers are by far and away best option. Mounting them on proper mdf baffles can double the output. An amp is very important and all is wasted without sound deadening.
No matter what car you have, buying a set of 3 way coaxile speakers wont give impressive results.
