My battery is dying and i need a new 1 but i need a high power long lasting 1. This is due to the sound system i have.
Any advise on make model or where to get one from??
Also has any1 got a mirror wiring guide for a y reg bravo please.

i concur with Ash. bought me a well-rated Bosch silvertop and have never looked back. Always starts first time, no dimming with music at full tilt. smashing, and only about £45 in Costco iirc.

Mark, you wanna go to National Tyres down Carholme Road, and get the same battery I have.

Its a Varta Silver Power for the JTD, 63Ah, 600CCA...if I get my dad to get it for you its about £45 I think.

You never have your system loud anyway ;)

Thanks people sorry didn't reply sooner.
No i don't run the music when car is off that would kill the battery.

I am running about 4000watts off the battery equating to about 330A.

Your probably right mate but either way i have two amps powering 4x1300watt 12' sony subs 2x 9x6's and front components.
Alot of power usage don't agree?!

I thought it was more to do with how much power you amp kicks out rather than the speaker rating.

I have a megakick 1280 watt 50% rms 4 channel for 6X9s and fronts and vibe 1300watt 2 channel.

That's 2580 watts combined, not 4000, and even then it's unlikely they're drawing that wattage.

the vibe is rms. either way thanks to everyone for the advice.

btw, how did you fit 2 amps and 4 12" subs in the boot? you got some pics? I've only got a poxy 10" and half my boot's gone :(

i don't have any at mo but will do and post them up later this week. Lee will agree that there is four in my boot and they do all work. It was alot of planning, maths for air space in boxes and there is even enough room to get ther spare out. O ya and hours and hours building. However i am re doing it as the subs work against each other and so arn't as load as they could be.

You will never get 1300 true watts from a 12" sub. maybe for 8 seconds before the coil eats itself.
