General Need advice on Marea's computer

Hi folks,

My name is Georgi and this is my very first post in this lovely forum!

I am about to buy second hand Fiat Marea JTD105 (build in 2000 or 2001) and I have some questions about it. First of all, the local dealers could explain me what are the functions of the integrated computer. If is shows the fuel consumption, speed, mileage and etc. Can you please let me know if it has such functions?
Because I have driven diesels just for short periods in my short life I don't have much knowledge about them, so I need some very basic advices on buying a second hand diesel car (Fiat Marea JTD105).

The third question is - does the Marea has any weakness I have to be aware of?

Any help is much appreciated and I'll buy you a beer in exchange if I have a chance meet you anywhere.

Not sure about the computer thing, just make sure its been well serviced as thats always a must. Check for 2 blue keys and 1 red key. Ask when timing belt was changed.

Thanks mountainmachine, unfortunately "the computer thing" is important to me so if it does not show the fuel consumption I am not buying Marea at all because my old Renalut has this option already and I love it.

I know for a fact a 2000 1.9JTD Punto shows the millage, average speed, mpg etc etc. But as i havent been in the Marea JTD i can say.

Do you have a clue how you control the functions of the computer in this Punto? I guess it is by a button, but where should it be - on the dashboard on on the steering wheel? And any clues if all functions are accessible when the car is standing on idle?

On the punto there is a button which changes the dash display.
