Need a Seicento specialist mechanic/garage

I need a little tender loving care on my Seicento and don't have the time right now to do this (learn how the hell you do this). A few tweaks and renewals I suspect although the car is in pretty good nick as I have owned it from new. Perhaps new belts, test gaskets etc before anything goes wrong. Upgraded brakes and Suspension, tyres etc. I live in the Romford area of Essex but could drop it off somewhere if its not too far (have a spare car). Can you recommend anyone or anywhere? I think Glynn Hopkins in Chadwell Heath are pretty good but too expensive for me. The engine needs a tweak to accelerate just a touch quicker but I don't need to change it as I don't need to go faster than the speed limit.

Hi Numptey, in your position I think I'd consider the mileage & its service history, easy enough as you owned it from new.

I'd do a major service if it hasnt had one in a year.
I'd also consider an MoT to see what safety aspects need reviewing unless you already had that done.

You cant really test gaskets, you have to renew them if required due to leaks of coolant or lubricant.

If it passes or has passed an MoT test then maybe look at the timing belt / coolant pump replacement, is it at or close to needing to be done?

Then consider bodywork, paint, panels condition... underbody sealant... tyres, brakes, wheel alignment, the list could be really long and the cost quite high... I'd personally do it in stages.

See if there is an independant FIAT specialist near to where you live, tell them what you want & ask for a quote.

Thanks Ffoxy, I will take this onboard, the cost is secondary to a degree as its mine from new and part of the family and lets face it I could buy a new one but thats hardly going to be better than this, is it?

Told my brother to phone them (Alfa starting problems) before Christmas an he said a guy with an accent was rude and said he can't do that sort of work before next year. He went somewhere else instead and will never go to see Clovertech due to customer service. I guess looks like I wont go there either now.
