Tez, im not too sure on the 6 speed box yet, its something i will be looking into properly soon, got a fair bit of info, just need to confirm a few bits.
as far as wetrher it will be worthwhile or not in short yes! but it will be an pian to get sorted, some custom fabrication of parts and spacers etc will be needed, but its something i plan to do, as for around town and on the lanes the shorter ratios are great, its just when you get her on the maway she suffers with lack of legs and revs the faster you go
Anon, there are 3 'phases' of the 1.2 as to speak, and its thought that only the first 1.2's had the majority of the gearbox woes, but its more a case of luck in all honesty, some can drive hard all the time and its fine, others like me can be very unfortunate driving hard and others even more so being very cautious!
Nashor, not too sure why you had all your problems in all honesty, every punto box i have fitted ahs been fine bar one bolt at the top of the rear subframe mount onto the box not fitting, but everything else is fine. ok so you have to swap the diff coupleing for the drive shaft on the pass side aswell but thats it in my experience
