Uno need a bit of advice

hi peeps,
been on the group for a few months trying to decide what to do, ive got a mk1 uno turbo stripped from the shell and a spare mk1 engine and box, i didnt know wether to sell them and pick something else up but id always fancied one as a kid but couldnt afford the insurance, ive decided to reshell the bits ive got and make myself a nice toy/track car but my question is can i reshell all the mk1 gear into a mk2 shell or will it have to be a mk1 shell? the bumpers im not fussed about if theyd fit or not but i would like them on if possible, i dont mind getting my hands dirty and id like to do it all myself but it depends on the availability of the shells, any help or advice would be great

Hi mate, Im doing the exact thing, been set back as some scruffy C U next Tuesday stole my MK2 Im using for the shell. I've got it back from the compound and will start it as soon as I locate a set of MK 1 Uno wings, I joined this forum for help on the wings, The shells are Pretty much the same. My advice if you haven't yet scrapped the MK1 shell don't. Not until you have assessed the 2 side by side. That way you can cut any pieces you need off the original.
The front panel is different but My friend had a MK1 a couple of years ago and that had a MK2 front panel? So maybe you don't need to change it. I wouldn't have it as a track car though, The price in these cars is going Up and up and will keep doing mate.

I've heard of a few unos being stolen recently.
I think il have to start looking into some security for mine.
