Hey guys and girls.

Im sure a lot of you already know but just thought i would tell the others that dont.

You can buy this satnav unit for very cheap. I bought mine for £45 the other week. After it arrived I just linked it to my computer with a USB and it was just a matter of copying and pasting a few files to install tomtom v7. You can also put on the other mapping formats depending to your personal taste such as route 66, miomap, IGO etc.

I personally didnt try the turbodog software but im sure it works fine aswell.

I've got tomtom 6 on mine. Turbodog is absolutely dogsh*t mind you :bang:
Turbodog has a habit of getting all in a tizzy and dropping dead the minute you go even a yard or two off the route, say for a diversion or stopping at services/to view the scenery; locking up completely and requiring a hard reset to get going again. It also took an absolute age to calculate even simple routes.

The only problem I have with tomtom 6 are the traffic light alerts DONG!! it really sh*ts me up because it makes me think I've been caught speeding or something! The speed cam alerts can be annoying too, especially when the camera is on a road going parallel with the road you're on and you have no chance of getting caught by that paticular cam..
The navigo I bought cost £35 (Mil. discount ) and has been good to me so far. Takes ages to get a sat. lock sometimes though.

But does anyone know where I can get a replacement mount for it? the top lug has snapped off, rendering the thing absolutely useless!
