Hi anybody,

I have recently got a ulysse version with connect+ and find some difficulty entering an address, for instance in London, I could not enter a district and I could not enter the correct street name as the unit kind of finished it off for me and the one I wanted was not there. I have read the instructions which do not help.
It apppears that I cannot use post codes? - Any Ideas ?

Not being able to use post codes is one drawback with this unit, probably because its European.

When you start to enter an address, a district or the street name, look at the bottom right of the unit, there is a number next to "list" this is all the possible towns, or streets if you are on that line, that are available.

When you put in the first letter this is a large number, obviously this drops as the put in more letters and the possible matches decrease. when there is only one option the unit finishes off the address, but when the number gets down to something sensible you can click the "list" and get a list of the possible options and then select the right one.

Sometimes the unit has the address stored slightly different or just wrong, so by putting in some of the letters then listing it you can often see the one you want.

Did you put London down as the first line? if so try putting the district instead. Conversely if you didn't put London in then try doing that.

I haven't come across any address I cant find yet (apart from brand new ones)

Thanks Ian, that has helped a lot.

I found another way also:- Google Earth, zoom in and place the curser over the place you need and the navigation coordinates are shown. enter these and it will take you straight there. Everyone else probably already knows this
but there ya go.
