Allright people, I am in the last year of my HND course in Motorsport Engineering at Swansea Institute, as part of my final year I am required to have a project.
Luckily for me i am the proud owner of a Mk2 Uno Turbo :D so the topics for my project are endless.
I have decided to make a kit that would improve the drive train of a Mk2 Uno Turbo, the kit would include a Quaife slip diff, a paddle clutch and a Quick-shift gear linkage (and possibly a gear kit).
The purpose of this kit is to improve the Unos performance on a quater mile run, as you all know when u floor the uno from a standing start you get a heap of wheelspin and tourque steer and if your pushing out reasonable power your clutch will slip, this is a big problem if your trying to get a decent time on your quater mile run.
Also as im sure your all aware the linkages are pathetic on the unos, the quickshift kit reduces the gear lever throw by %43 which means no missed gears, quicker gear changes and less turbo lag :slayer:!!! .
Basically I have to prove to my course tutor that there is a need for such a kit as this, im asking if you could post me your e-mail address so that i can mail you my questionnaire or get in touch with me at [email protected] cheers for your time guys, Steffan

oh please god yes, a shiney new gearlinkage would be mint! mine is currently held together with bits of duct tape and JB weld :slayer:

will email you later.

as for other stuff, I'm sure I could do with a LSD, but not for quarter mile usage, more for B road tarmac terroism

ive made a quickshift before, if you post up a pic of the linkage ill show you how
