I think your tyre pressure should be around the 34 psi mark and I dont know why you feel your car should be now slower with the 18" wheels on
i dont know the car just feels slower, wouldnt think it would make much difference to a 1.8, i got a 1.2 and i feel the difference, maybe its just because im alot more careful with the 18's than the 15inch steelies.

car definetly feels slower overall size is much the same but acceleration seems dreadfull or is there mayby some other problem caused by the wheels my wife was driving it yesterday and said it seemed slower feels like you have got to push it harder now to get anywhere!!!!

The difference between the standard 15" and 18" is very small around 3mm in diameter and the rolling radius of the 15" is 317.5 to the 18" 318.6 so theres very little in it MIND you ime not to sure whether the gear ratios of the 1.8 is different to my 1.6:)

what size of wheels did you have on standard? i rekon the 18's are alot heavier than the 15inch steel wheels, that maybe the problem. theres not much more of a turning radius between the 15's with a 60 profile tyre and a 18 with a 40 profile. it wouldnt be anything to do with the car, its most probably the wheels, but keep them anyway, 18's look the dog's b0110cks on the stilo.

had the 16" stilo wheels with the 205/55/16 tyres dont get wrong it looks good but then you still have to drive it every day!! you dont see the wheels from the inside checked out the wheel bible site and the circumfrence is 0.85% bigger does not seem that much

I had the 15" steelies when I bought the car but i have 17" mulispokes on now [not fiat ones] and TBO ime thinking of going up to 19" alloys :) and yes your right about the weight they are heavier :( now the rolling radius of the 19" wheel is the same as the 15" so the speedo reads true :worship: its just the extra weight (n)

i was going to put 19inch RSC's on but i just could not afford them the boyi bought the wheels off was looking an extra £470 for the 19's and its £500 for a set of tyres compared to £340 for 18's, i thought the 18's would be better and im happy with them.

Yes scottie the cost of the 19" wheels are  bloody expensive so ive gota think hard before i make the final descision cos ive got other things I want to do and are already in the pipe line (y)

19's would look class but i couldnt part with the extra cash, plus you dont have much tyre profile, itd b like drivin around on rubber bands, and it'd be a hell of alot easier to bend a 19inch rim, im not saying 18's cant be bent, its just that extra 5% profile makes it that bit more practical, i rekon 17's are the best but they look too small on the stilo's massive arches

Driving on rubber bands :p :D pmsl never thought of it that way but of course your right (y) nice firm ride on the old butt to :D yes the 17" are practical quite a good ride quality and would be ok imo if i were to lower the stilo but ime having problems as it is with clearance on the roads here in S.wales and didnt want to lower but am considering coilovers [bloody roads in this contry are getting ridicularse with the emphesis on the arse bit or in my case my front spoiler speed bumps be buggered bloody termite mounds more like.:D

 you think the roads are bad in south wales, they cant be as bad as here u should see the roads in nothern ireland, they are diggin all around my town and they are covering everywhere is silly speedbumps (n) , the roads are atrocious, i cant drive over 25mph 95% of the time. it p155es :bang: me off bigstyle.

Roads may be bad there but the course fishing is (y)

Tyres are really expensive on 19's too, especially if you need high performance tyres, I was expecting to pay around £15-£30 extra for tyres with the new car but it turns out a set of four will set me back well over £800, closer to 900 actually

18's are the perfect wheel for the Stilo imo.

here is a few pics of my cousin's stilo:
18inch Dare V2's
lowered on P.I springs (i know you all hate them)
forza tuning sideskirts

looks ok:) Is it another 1.2? Those wheels suit the stilo...

But i would loose the mudflaps maybe and not keen on the graphics half way down the front window screen - dot those hinder his vison of the road?

yeah its another 1.2, his is the active aircon model 2002, thats where the sunstrip comes down to, its a tinted sunstrip, so vision is not really impared. im not too keen on the mudflaps either, might get the big f-ck off lorry mudflaps cut in half, i think they look well, what u think?

Although Ime not going to use P.I. springs why are they considered crap by you guys just wondered thats all :) I realise there are good and bad products in every field but what makes P.I. worse than others
