As I finally restored my beloved Stilo its time to explore the mountains...

I tried with snow blankets but its not that safe so I fitted my first ever set of Winter Tyres!

I choose Nankang Winter Activa SV3 205/55/16

They are great! I loved the one's that I had on a car awhile ago. Get some winter alloys and swap them over around September time. They work well in wet and cold weather.

It fits without any mod, the lights and wings are stock from 5-door ,only the bumper is from the 3-door.

And this is the second 5-door Stilo at right that I restore from scratch for my wife's brother.

It looks more sporty with the 3-door bumper...

Hmmmm.... I might have to begin another "project", as long as the Younger Mrs S. doesn't find out. :D

My bumper has suffered a bit. It's covered in chips, it has a slight crack in the horizontal strakes by the radiatore and it's faded to Tomato red instead of Tiziano red... so I had it in mind to repair it and re-paint it (the same time as the roof - also "orange").

I didn't take it off yet because all the bottom bolts are rusted and the first one snapped, so I need to have time to drill out and repair the others if they also snap.

But if I'm going to paint it, then I could paint a 3-Door one instead....

Hmmm.....
