Although I have been registered on here for a little while and posted a few times I thought I would say hi as a bona fide Fiat owner. I did post this fact in a new thread in the ‘Other’ section, but although it had raised a few hits, it hadn’t elicited any response. So here I am, loud and proud to once again be owning a Fiat (my 5th—6th if you count my Beta Coupe),

So what did I get? Well I have just picked up a 7 month old Sedici 1.9 Eleganza for £8K. I am taking it up North for a few days so might even get to see some snow. I fancy changing the tyres though, as I want the car as a Winter and off road car really, so M + S tyres might be in order. Nothing that makes the car sound like NATO is coming around the corner (been there in a Landie Wolf) but something that will give slightly enhanced grip in the slippy stuff without too much loss of grip in the dry. I have done a search, but Sedici info is a little thin on the ground. Any suggestions welcome thanks.

Hope to see you all around a bit more now

Amanda

The sedici is based on a suzuki SX4 (joint development of some sort.) so it may be worth a look around on the web to see suggestions from their forums etc?

Thanks(y). I did have a look at the Suzuki forum and some small 4x4 forums, but it doesn’t seem to have what I need. I recently found out it is supposed to be based around the Swift floorpan. Just driven 160 miles in one hit and it was reasonably comfortable (perhaps not the last word in sophistication or silence), seemed quite stable in the strong winds we have at the moment, but best of all averaged about 46mpg following traffic in the outside lane. 70-80mph. the computer is probably a bit optimistic, but even then it is still as good as my 123D. So far so good and we have snow forecast for the weekend.
