In terms of sueing, if it is nothing, please don't sue! It just means we all end up paying higher premiums The only people who win are the bloody lawyers and no one wants that! You will get pittance, the insurance will pay loads out and who gets it all, that law firm who did "no win no fee". Makes you sick doesn't it?!

Bad luck mate. Can understand the difficulties with courtesy car however. No hire company will have insurance for under 21 year olds and hence that is why they want the upgrade because otherwise you will have no insurance.

Go to the doctors and get a note stating whiplash. Then notify your insurance company of the fact if they are pursuing your claim.

This is important!! Whiplash injuries can seem like nothing at the time but can develop into serious conditions over time. A little bit of hassle now could save you years of problems further down the line. Even if you don't intend to sue now, this will be your 'insurance' for the future.

The way I see it, you're going to be paying enough throughout your whole life for car insurance, so take this oppurtunity to screw the b***ards for every penny you can! It's not as if insurance will ever do anything but get pricier anyway...
Hope your neck injury isn't serious, and that the pain can be relieved by a fat wedge of insurance payout!

You want to add to that? If it is bad, obviously claim, but if it is nothing, you shouldn't because it will just cost you in the long run. With an industry that was making a loss until 2001 at 120 for every 100 pounds they can't afford such a massive loss. Yuou may think they rob us and most of us they do, but they still don;t make anything much!

Get to the Doc and get the info down in your medical notes NOW in case of future claims/ problems. And if you want my advice (you probably don't but I'll give it anyway), providing you are not on other meds or have other medical conditions, try taking 400mg Ibuprofen up to 6 times a day (yes I know it only says three times a day on the box but trust me) and after 2-3 days ou should feel the aching go down. If you're into complementary therapies, try some Glucosamine sulphate and/ or Arnica 30c. Over and out

1.6 billion is peanuts in an industry as big as insurance! we pay off our faces for insurance! the right to claim for accidents that arent our faults for "injuries" (no matter how small) is what we pay such high prices for!

Would you be saying the same if youd had an accident and your neck was bruised and stiff! whiplash is a more serious injury than people think it permantley damages the tissues that protect the spine. Iv done a lot of research into this since my accident and what i think youve said is bang out of order pghstochaj and very selfish!
