they are similar, but the mk2b have sharper spokes that stick out, and dont blend into the rim.

I thought the mk2 wheels were the same as the mk2b HGT wheels, they changed them only on the lower models???

No the mk2b HGT alloys are different to both.

how you go about sorting out stone chips?

Well there is two options

A) Cheap way - touch up stick / pen. This normally looks crap.

B) Respray - usually espensive unless you do it youself. I'll probably do a respray of my bonnet and front bumper. You can even do a partial respray if its a small area by getting a machine polisher on the full bonnet fill the chips then spray with base coat then laquer on the area thats effected .

if you get perfect match touch up (from dealer, its cheap) and you're careful you can fix stonechips almost perfectly. it takes a bit of practice and a lot of patience to get right.
