Looks very clean Matt!

I had a converitble one for a short time, but a friend soon bought it from me. Then I got a low mileage saloon, but within a month someone wanted to swap it for a 106!

I do like 205's but can't seem to hang on to them for long. :(

As you might have read, my mum has a 205 cabriolette in the garage MINT condition 62k but it is a little tempermental and very expensive insurance.
That is why i bought the Marbella.

The Marbella will go to my brother- I will give it to him as a gift. Though, i want to get it to 50k and finish the paintwork first(y)

Got some pics of my two cars together..
Unfortunately, the Marbella will no longer be mine from the latter part of the summer holidays - but will still be in the family. I will of course, still use the forum and finish the car before I transfer it to my brother.

He's excited to say the least, but it's not his until the summer is out. But now the Marbella is at 50,020 and I have reached my goal, I am affraid that my obligation is no longer to the Marbella...

Looks like a good buy, 205's are good cars based on friends who've owned them. The diesels are pretty bullet proof. Sorry to hear your moving away from the marbella, but glad its going to a good home and being put to use. They are a perfect starter car, and easy to pass on too lol. I got my first panda for free....my parents loss

Okay okay okay,

So I bought some 1.6 GTI alloy wheels and just fitted them today. Also replaced indicator lenses some months ago not apparent in earlier photographs with some good old fashioned orange lenses :)

Okay, so here are some pictures,

And they make a hell of a difference to both the looks and the ride. Supprisingly they are easier to manouver at lower speeds even though they are taller and much wider. They are far less twitchy at higher speeds like 40mph which I didn't like.
That extra half inch of height at the front really makes a difference too to both how good it now feels and the speedometre ;)
The wheels aren't in perfect condition but the way I see it:- 25 year old wheels on a 20 year old car you think nothing of it. Reconditioned wheels on a dented, 20 year old car doesn't look so good. Besides, if someone were to steal them, it would cost them alot of money to recondition ;)

I am just so glad to get those what I call 'granny trims' off my car hehe.
I think the height is nice. I like being high.

Anyway, tell me what you think..

looked better before with the clear indicators

I think that's down to taste, I prefer orange.. I don't like being in a sheep whatever it may be eg. clear indicators, or silver cars:p

I am thinking of putting big square fog lights IN the grill. Yeah I might cut out sections, and stick them in giving same projection as headlights and same depth inside the grill lining up with the headlights.

There i goes again. Because I don't like being in the common heard and putting the fog lights in the bumper ;)

I had a 205 gl for a while. It was a right laugh. Really **** but still so much fun and even though it overheated everytime you ragged it, it never gave up and lasted me around 8 months before I sold it on. Passed its MOT with no advisories at the age of 21 and cost me nothing in maintenance.

I actually miss it...

well, if you are tall it is horrible first car as you need to know to handle it without space and I'm 6 and 4. you need a bit of experience for that. some people find hard that unprecise steering because they don't want to turn it 1000times in place to move from parking
