That sounds like a good idea mate! Any reason why your wanting a seicento out of interest

because i have a thing for small cars - mini's etc, now i would be tempted to play with one of those and mod it for more oomph! lol :slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer:

:Offtopic:

Keep it to classifieds and pm please

ooh she's like a nasty referee! :worship:

back on topic guys, i only have one key with the car (a blue one) is likely to cause any problems or can i just go for a scrapped car and get ecu and all locks and keys?

i do spanners and grease but not electrics!:idea::idea::idea::idea::idea::idea:

It looks good :)
I love black cars even though mine's yellow -.-
Has a lot of potential :)

just had a (best offer) accepted on ebay for a 50,000mile 1.2 8v engine for £120 (y) so looks like the lil black beast will be rolling sooner than i'd thought:slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer:

anyone know if its worth doing anything with the key issue? as in the fact i only have one blue one with the car:eek:

what are my options peeps?

any help/ opinions welcome.

Hi Rob,

Its not such a big issue with the MK2 than it is with the MK1. You only get blue keys with the MK2's i only have one key and it has been fine since i have owned my car (over a year) however you can get another one cut, but you need it done from Fiat as they have all the codes etc and it should cost about 60-80 would just be a spare incase the ECU in the car gives up reading your key (which is very unlikely to happen)

Or if your dumb enough to loose one ;) :p

Well i have the engine at home and i'm chuffed to bits as its mint! very good condition and its never leaked oil! just got to fit it now! lol

Out of interest, what happened to the old engine? Looks like it threw a rod through the block, but thought the 8v engine was NI?

the previous owner failed to spot the leaky rocker cover until it was to late and it had got very noisy, the big end shells had worn and the conrod on number 3 gave way, this then dropped to the sump and was picked up by number 4's big end and punched through the block behind the starter motor:cool:

what do you mean by NI?

well fitted my new crank sensor today and she fired up first time! bit lumpy at first but soon settled down after some redex.(y)

so now the hunt is on to swap it for a seicento sporting.
