General My GP sporting progress thread

Thought I would start one of these to show you guys my progress with the GP sporting...

The day I bought it

Plans are :

Abarth head lights
Cupra R splitter
Lowering springs 40mm
Xeon bulbs (on order)
K and N panel filter (on order)
Re-map
Wrap behind front number plate
Respray stone chipped bonnet and wings
Refurb alloys

I resprayed the alloys over the last 2 days... Iv gone for a metallic grey

Even got the GF on drying duty

I didn't manage to get a picture of them on.. Will get one up tomorrow :-D

Im looking forward to pictures of the wheels fitted as mine need a refurb and was thinking of going for a similar colour.

Id remove the bump strips from the side as well

Iv just had a quick read up on the bump strips, can anyone confirm they are just stuck on?

Yes they are just stuck on, heat them up and it will be easier to remove them

Didnt manage to get a photo today... only just finished work :-(
K&N and wrap turned up this morning so will get them fitted tomorrow along with and good clean and bump strip removal

Update....

Filter fitted
Bumper wrapped
Cleaned and polished
New lights in
Bump strips off
Removed old wrap from both doors ready for new wrap (side of the window)

Think iv got the modding bug

Ordered some team heko wind deflectors earlier... Should be here by weekend and some LED side lights to match my Xeon head lights

Oh and look what happened the minute I finished cleaning it..

Not too bad for £40.. Won't be doing it again tho hah I'd not had a weekend off work in about 2 month and I spent it sat in a cold garage sanding down alloys
