my first time insurance

Hey everyone im a new time driver and only just passed my test and was looking for a car that was cheap on insurance as well as parts so after days of being messed about i saw a
fiat punto 1999 R reg, 1.2 and only 53k on the clock and 3 previous owners and only cost me £995

so i checked it out and everythnig and it seemed lovley anyway i phoned my insurance and i had some stupid quotes haha one quoted me 10k lmao XD

so i found one by accident online i gave them a ring and because im 20 and going to do the pass plus course and had my grandad with 40+ years of driving as a named driver they gave me a quote of
£1970 with the pass plus course
and a month i only have to pay £200

so its worth giving insurance companys a ring and the car ive choose doesent have power steering so im scared a bit haha

what do you guys think of this ?

sounds about right price.

you dont need pas on a punto, just make you you keep tyres pumped up to what they should be and its very light to steer
