hi all im a brava guy orginaly :D but i need to add a fith person to my family
so iv chosen the multipla iv seen them under a grand with very high millege

i need to know some facts and costs befor i by one

it will be a defernetly a 1.6 as if i go up to a 2.0d it will cost to much insurence as im only been driving for 2 years

i need to know cost of everything that would make this car last for at least a year becouse i want the new multipla :D:p

thanks for the help guys/lades

Go for a diesel mate they sell for more when it comes to moving it on and will serve you better than an underpowered petrol if your going 5 up.
Not tryin to diss the petrol model but 1.6 with 5/6 people is going to struggle.

tell the problem is thatmy insurence is going to kill me i will have to pay £25 ontop of my insurence when i do get a multipla but with a diesel the cost for a 2.0 zafia 2500.00 quid and thats no way i can afford that just imagen how much a multipla will be :(

so what arethe petrol ones like then and the diesel like then how much are the tyres and other things aka service and running costs :) thanks

Well I've owned a diesel Multi for less than a year so am no expert but I have found running costs less than my previous which was a citroen synergie. Parts for the Multi are a good deal cheaper, smaller tyres, lower insurance, good mpg generally components seem cheaper than most MPVs trouble is you will need them so far I've had new clutch, new cambelt and tenioners, new aux belt and tensioner, new bearing in rear trailing arm, new brake cable, faulty alarm removed which was the most galling main stealer charged me £150 for that. That siad when its goes it goes well, best of luck.

thanks for the info ill be selling my brava to pay for the multipla :cry:
its a lovely car nice engin smoth ryder as well will miss it had good time
thanks for the help ill be getting the multipla in aurgust just hopes no one will charge me two much

I just had a look on Parkers website and insurance for Multiplas is not that different from petrol to diesel: The SX is group 7 for petrol and 8 for diesel, and the ELX is 9 for petrol and 10 for diesel. The petrols are nice but people seem to generally prefer the diesels - I certainly love mine, and I've so far done 22000+ miles in 3 years in it, have yet to replace the rear tyres (the fronts were done after 20000 and oem Pirellis set me back £150), have spent less than £1000 on repairs and servicing and it's now got about 110000 on the clock. It's lovely to drive and cavernously big, and although I don't really need something this big any more I'm struggling to think what to replace it with. Maybe a Grande Punto in a year or two.

I Want £6300 for mine.Check it out in the for sale section:slayer:

Another lame sales pitch I know:eek:

just lost me job so i dont think so :p but i can see very nice.

on the other hand i was told that an engin of a 1.6 of 150,000 mile engin has to have somthing done to it sorry guys this convo was over a couple of pints of beers and shots
