was on my way from leeds to bridlington today, got about 20 mins away from bridlington, slowed down for a roundabout, left the roundabout and went to build my speed back up,

the engine just lost all power and sounded like it was falling to bits,

had to get the AA to take me home, he tested the spark plugs, coil packs and ht lead. everything was fine.

he pin pointed that it was cylinder 4 at fault and could either be an injector, or internal fault with the cylinder. no warning lights or anything have come on. it stinks of rotten eggs from the exhaust.

any idead what i can do to get it back on the road?

thanks

Clearly needs to be taken to a mechanic. The engine has to come apart and checked, from what you are telling. And most likely a good service, and maybe new parts.

I would go straight to a mechanic.

Rotten egges from the exhaust is the cat.

before you get the engine stipped down (costly). . . take off the manifold/cat and check it hasnt broken down and blocking the exhaust fumes going out of the engine.
