i have a fiat multipla, its a rusty orange, i luv it. anyone agree???????

I am A princess I live in the clouds, If u wanna kick it with me you betetr bow down so get on your knees and call me your higness cos baby believe me in new yorks finest!

Depends; if you mean the 1950's 600 based thing they used to use as taxis in Napoli, I would have to agree. They're really cool. However, if you mean the modern goggly eyed transit van thing, I think, maybe, it's time is yet to come.
I'm not saying, 'old is good and new is naff.' I could never work out what anyone saw in the old boxy 124 and the new coupes are ace.
I have a 126, which is a charming little motorised roller skate but I'd really like a 500.

Yes, that is my real name.

I'm gonna stick up for the Multipla too! We have tuned one to over 155BHP and it was superb. We have detuned it to 125bhp now and its still a gem. Really surprising, it was a shame they never put the 2.4 JTD engine in to start with (image a Multipla with over 200 bhp after we had mapped it - OMG!)

Funky, friendly and superb to drive. Just wait, I know of a Multi that is destined for 190BHP from the 1.9JTD, thats all I am saying for the moment!

Yeah right!

It may be innivative, dynamic to drive, and won a European award, but let's face it, it's damn ugly! Even with the full sports kit on it, it looks like a dogs dinner. The ugliness comes from the two step front, if they'd have ran the front lines from the front of the roof to the end of the bumper as one smooth line, (a la Espace) this car would have been much more sucessful.

As I said in a previous post, they do pretty well around here, Mobility Aids seem to shift a whole load of them, perhaps they get a good deal from FIAT, or they're just great wheel-chair cars, or spad-mobiles!

Whatever you say though, 80BHP or 500BHP, it doesn't make a difference! If you want a proper MPV, buy the original Espace.

:p[}:)]:p

tsk and you called me harsh:D

Nobody actually WANTS an MPV - they are a necessity to fulfill a lifestyle. If you could get 4 kids, a weeks shopping and a pram in a 2 seater sports car the world would be full of them, but as you cant you end up with comprimises.

I still stick up for the Multipla as they are such a hoot, both to drive and to look at.

Remember when the Sierra came out (no, you are probably too young!) people were up in arms at how ugly it was, the "jellymould" remarks etc but after a while it just became accepted. I thin kthis is too far a comparison and I am now sprialling uncontrolled into a load of drivelling nonsense so I will stop

Long live the Multipla[8D]

Hey Nige

I aint being harsh mate, I'm stating a fact, the local Mobility Aids Center can't shift enough of them, so there must be something to be said about the motor.

As for remembering the Sierra launch, I was 10 years old and I do remember it, there was many a conversation in the house, my Dad, his brothers and his mates, on whether they liked it and if it was better than the Cortina, etc, but I loved it, I thought it was very Star Wars at the time and even believed it had a Light Speed Button, a bit like the Girlie Button on my Stilo I guess!:D

But, going back to the Multipla, it's not or never going to be ground breaking, the Espace did that and is still king, and the French seem to be masters at this niche, Espace, Scenic, Picasso, etc.

Cheers
