I'm in complete despair. I own a fiat punto 1994. Lately i'm having this problem: The car stalls while driving with no apparent common signs between each particular stall. I thought it was heating, but the car stalled without heating. I thought it was due to some added effort, but it may or may not stall while i'm pushing it and also stalls when i'm not (2000 RPM). It doesnt seem to be related to speed or turning.
Now when it stalls, the car management light (the hose thingy) comes up. I turn it off and when i turn it back on, there is no fuel pump sound. If i wait some time then try to turn the car back on there is fuel pump sound again and it seems to work fine. I took it to the mechanic and he said it was some crank sensor problem and replaced it. It keeps doing the same crap and i dont wanna pay more unnecessary money... I dearly need your help, please...
