Whats up?! I figured I would share my first ride and first Fiat. I got her in August and I'm currently working on restoring the interior. Took out the ripped seats and reconditioned the seat frames by sanding the rust down to bare metal, applied rust converter, had the passenger seat pan welded due to it being eaten through, and then painted the frames black. Likewise for the back seat frames. Now I looking into an auto upholsterer, was quoted a price of $1000 for doing the front and back in vinyl including new foam. I throw the old foam out becuse it was in pretty crappy shape. Not sure if the price is about average. Gonna get another quote from a guy I know, he knows a few places. The carpets are pretty new but I was thinking of sound proofing the floor pan.(not sure,though). The car runs good but has a small trans leak, prob. rear seal but...100% certain. I put a new Duralast battery in it last week, it starts better now but I have to pump the gas peddle sometimes, don't know if thats natural for a carb. engine, I'm new to cars and especially fiats, so maybe people have some pointers for me. Thanks.
