Punto (Mk2/2b) Munkul's thread

Introduction

well, i put a deposit down on a 52 plate Mk2 today, very happy!

its in very nice condition, standard, no signs of crash damage or owt, the only bits were a slight ding in the passenger side rear arch, and slightly kerbed alloys :)

well i think it will be an ongoing project, as long as its reliable enough!

the interior pic is quite rubbish, but the seats still look a little dirty  apparently a common problem....

i get to pick it up on saturday the 5th jan, it getting MOTed by dealer, etc

i cant wait
I love it, probably looks loads better in real life.
Are you going to tint the lights and the rears?
I think if you destrip the bump strips and colour code the handles it will look near perfect!!

i may get 2b lights, but not the other mods mentioned, i like the black on the sides :) tempted to paint them gloss black though....

anyways.

last night: made spigot ring holder

Turned spigots down to the right size and removed chamfers

the reason behind this was because these alloys dont have the conventional shamfered centre bore, so when i specified i wanted chamfer-less spigots the seller sent me conventional ones. he refunded me my money once i asked for it, but said the ones i wanted would have to be bespoke items. I thought i might as well make use of the ones i had though.
As well as this, ONE of the wheels had a different size of centre bore  odd, but just as well i didnt waste money on a custom made set!

This morning, new toyos for the front (the old ones were past the metal )

by the time i had fitted the alloys and washed the car it was too dark for photos (n)
