Technical Multipla spare

Anybody know what the size of the spare is on a phase1 (01) mulitpla?
Is it full size or a space saver? MOT due in a couple of weeks and no spare came with the car.
Tyre size would be appreciated then i can just phone some scrap yards

best to get one for day to day use but no spare isnt an MOT fail.only if it is present & has a worn tyre.
logic being you can use a bald spare but if theres none there you cant

I just had to fit the space saver to mine and I think the winding mechanism that holds it is buggered. I started winding it down, then felt some resistance, wound it further and the wheel came down all-at-once. Now the cable won't wind back up.

The device looks like a sealed unit - can it be repaired or do I chuck it and buy another?

i had the same problem and took it to bits,to find lots of pieces of broken metal.it cant be repaired

does anyone know if other fiats use the same winch for the spare

only multipla and ulysee use a winch,and the ulysee one is completly different.you will need a multipla one.....................MP
