hi all hope everyone is well.
right, need a bit of advice about my multipla, i know there has been lots of threads about starting and running problems with the multipla but none seem to explain my problem, that i can see, here goes: was driving along when car lost power, no warning. got it home and tried revving it and it seemed to increase very slowly and it wouldn't rev to 4000 revs, turned it off for few hours then tried starting it , it started ran for few seconds then cut out, tried starting it again and it wouldn't start it was trying to start but just wouldn't go then battery went dead. could anyone tell me the reason for this so i can save some money on fixing it, i need car as i have 5 kiddies to drop off for school each morning. please please help.

kind regards
lisa.

Petrol or diesel?..
Be good to get a code reader on it.
Common faults that gives your symptoms are either crank or cam position sensor, but get the codes read.

Assuming it's a diesel. First thing to check is fuel, is it getting any? could be fuel filter.
How mechanical are you? Have you tried 'easystart' up the air intake?

thanks for reply , yes its a diesel 1.9 jtd
the other half had a quick look at it , he has
basic mechanical skills. it is getting fuel to
top of injectors. could it be either crank sensor
or injectors,

Glad you got it sorted. (y)

The usual symptoms of a fouled EGR are rough running under 2-3000 rpm then it goes alright above that.

I blanked mine off 2 days after getting the car.
