Hi ,
My wife has an 04 multipla jtd elx and the heater fan stopped working. Also the outside temperature disappeared from info screen. I had the car looked at by fiat specialist who informed me the resistor and motor was fried.
He also said it had been bodged previously as the wiring into resistor was repaired poorly and melted and some trim from passenger side was missing. (Shows buying low mileage 36k full fiat history car from fiat dealer was a waste of time)
I have just replaced the motor and resistor and all worked including the temp display.
My wife used the car today 40mile trip and again we have no heater fan or temp display.
Has anyone any idea what the fault might be before I spend a fortune on new resistors and fans?
The wiring into the resistor seems ok and the connector is replaced now.
