Technical Multipla engine error

Hi i have a 07 multipla that has had the engine rebuilt after cam belt snapped due to water pump failure. Since then the engine control error comes up and light stays on dashboard. I have had the error check and been advised that the fault is with the DPF but the DPF light does not come on. I have taken the car for a run down the motorway but the engine is still limited to 3000 rpm. Can anyone advise what i could look at?

Who done the rebuild?

All sensors reconnected?

Turbo boosting?

The rebuild was done by local garage so not sure if all sensors have been reconnected. But was able to get car up to 70 on the motorway did struggle on power up hill.

your best bet is to take it back, sounds as if the car was not repaired correctly.
