A little bit of advice if you are going to change the droplinks on your Multipla:
Get some Nut Splitters.
I couldn't have changed mine without because the nuts were solid on and kept spinning on the ball joint.
I ended up nibbling bits off the nuts with the Splitters, until they fell off.

At just under £6 a set they are worth getting :)

My own advice (which some of you know already :p ) is to throw the drop-links, the bar, and it's mounts in the nearest skip, and live a happy, clunk-free life with your Multi . . . until something else starts knocking . . . :bang:

Do you think it is wise for you to suggest to people that they remove an integral part of the vehicles suspension. ARB's and their associated components are there for a reason and have been so since they were patented in 1919. Perhaps if you drive like a geriatric their function will be null and void but for 99.9% of normal drivers they are there to reduce body roll in fast cornering. Whether or not you have had any issues is highly irrelevant. The people who design cars are not mechanics they are automotive engineers with degrees longer than your arm and a very through understanding of physics. If they thought the system was redundant don't you think they would have gotten shod of it by now? There mere fact that almost every car has them should say something . The only production cars without them have complicated ECU controlled hydraulics that emulate the function.

In my experience with ARBs you can remove them and feel very little difference.
I think they are probably there for the sake of all drivers styles, catering for the inexperienced and for the unexpected really sharp turn.
I have removed them on one of my vehicles (front and rear) and still drive it regularly.

Back in the day when I was a lad we all used to tool round in escorts. The rear anti roll bar bushes were unavailable to buy so the way to pass the test was to remove the roll bar and continue to run it without one and it made little to no differenceat all.
If the vehicle passes a test with the bar removed and the insurance are happy then i don't see the issue.

Glowplug, there's an awful lot of stuff put on/in the Multipla (and other cars) that's not entirely necessary or needed (ironic, given your username :p ).

I don't miss my ARB at all.
There's a tiny bit more roll than there was with it fitted, but nothing untoward.
A 15mm steel bar is never going to totally eradicate roll in a vehicle weighing 1800+kg.

Agree to a degree, but a must on a 4X4 for obvious reasons
