hi, just started to love my multipla again , everything perfect, but i have just started to hear a definate "clunk" while driving on uneven roads or bumps. the car drives so nice & "tight", very smooth, so this clunk is noticable & im guessing suspension related.
driving home tonight on motorway it was fine, just over poor road surfaces - pretty sure clunk is from the front of car, but cant tell which side .
i will get under car tomorrow to have a look, but im not sure what i should be looking for??, never had to deal with suspension ever before, on this or any car.
any ideas to point me in the right direction will be much appreciated.
go away on holiday in the multi in less than 2 weeks, fully loaded with wife, 4 kids, topbox & trailer, so needs to be right!

hi, thanks for advice. by anti-roll bar bushes, do you mean drop links?, springs were replaced few months ago. going to have a good look under it this morning. hope it is just the drop links.
ANYONE HAVE ADVICE ON WHERE TO BUY GOOD QUALITY DROPLINKS,
incase i do need them?. shop4parts not too bad, ebay half the price, is there any difference?

I would say drop link bar, get a crow bar or something similar and try to see if there is any movement in the knuckle joints once jacked up. Replaced my drivers side a couple of years ago and it went again a few weeks ago. Got replacemet from shop4 parts as I couldn't be arsed to out and get one.

have a good look around the wishbones and if possible get the wheel off and check the ball joints use a leaver if u have one to hand i had this problem before with my original multi spent loads and turned out was 50 quid job all along

just to update, put car on axle stands, removed front wheels, passenger side drop link is completely destroyed, rubber all split & loose at top.
will fit new ones in morning. thanks for advice received
