I bought a new eleganza in Dec 2007. I have developed a noise when braking down a steep hill - sounds a bit like the mudflaps rubbing against the tyres - is this possible on an incline? Its only on one hill that I use every morning - doesn't do it on the flat or on less steep hills.
Any suggestions?

There are a number of companies out there now that do "free" brake checks. Maybe you should run it in here and see what they say. I popped mine into a national centre not too long ago and to their credit they said everything was fine. (y)

We had the same noise under the same circumstances. It turned out to be caused by a build-up of corrosion on the outside edge of the disc, where the pads don't normally touch. The noise went away after cleaning it off.
