General Multipla alarm

Hi all, have just renewed the battery on my 2002 1.6 elx and once re-connected the alarm seems to have added an extra "beep" once locked with the keyfob. Everything seems to be ok, but was wondering if anyone else in "Multiplaland" has experianced this ? ? The new battery was purchased from a Fiat dealer, and is the correct unit ( re chasis No. etc. )
Anyone got any thoughts ?

To cut out the siren: Press the remote control button for about 4 seconds when enabling the electronic alarm.

Five beeps will be heard which indicates that the siren has been disabled and the alarm has been enabled.
