Hello All,
I've just bought an old Multipla for my sister (2001 JTD 110 ELX). It has a few niggles, the main one is the red airbag light is on. My first port of call will be to check the connectors near the front seats. If that fails I was thinking about the system on my a Stilo (which I have worked on a lot) and I know that it has an OCS (Occupancy Classification Sensor) in the passenger seat which goes wrong after a while. Does the Multipla have one (or more) of these in any of the seats ?

The second niggle is the air con warning comes up on start up. Could this just be as a result of needing a recharge ?

The third is a clunk from the front passenger suspension area when driving over potholes. Is this likely to be the drop links and are they easy to replace (like my Stilo) ?

Also, what's the difference between a 110 JTD and 115 JTD engine (apart from the power)?

Any advice welcome. Thanks.:)

for the airbag have you checked under the drivers side compartment lid on the dash to see if the passenger airbag is on or off, its a keyhole with a red and green symbol this enables you to switch the airbag on and off. if it is off you will get the light.

the air con warning light is a result of needing to be charged,

and the clunking is, i would say the anti roll bar bushes, nothing to much to worry about but if it is them or your drop links they are fairly easy to change there are some posts on here.. get underneath and have a good look at the bushes to see if they are worn and remembif they are worn its an mot failure

Thanks very much for the info Shaun1.

Regarding the airbag, I have the amber warning on to show that the passenger airbag is deactivated, but I also have the red warning to show an airbag fault. I had this problem with my stilo which was as a result of the passenger OCS which is a sensor in the passenger seat which detects if anyone is sitting there (and how big they are). I was wondering if there is one of these in the multipla ?

your welcome.not sure to the answer of that im afraid, have a look through the forum and if i find anything i will post it to you on here
