Hello, I own a 51 plate Multipla 1.9 JTD. It's a great car and would love to solve some of the issues. I will list them separately. One problem relates to a Buzzing noise that starts when the heater is turned on.
When the heater is switched on to position 1 i hear a faint buzzing noise comming from below the centre consol. When dial turned to position 2 the noise get louder, Same deal for 3 and 4. When at 4 it is very loud and irritating. The heating works fine though! It will heat or cool according to the temp setting. Aircon on/off makes no difference, Noise is the same.
If I were to press the recirculate internal air button the buzzing noise drops considerably on all 4 settings but can still be heard. Any ideas? Is it a motor somewhere? How do I gain access? It does seem to be coming from centre or passenger side. From the outside of the car it is not detectable.
