I was today contacted by Customer Services Fiat after I had requested confirmation of the exact build date of the engine in my 2019 registered Pilote. The first contact from Fiat after a month of emails, and , even though I had already been aware,I was still shocked when he told me the engine was built in 2015. Where was it for 4 years? Surely this is not common practice.

While the delay between engine manyfacture, and vehicle registration may seem long, it is certainly possible. I havr previously read of delays of three years, or was it longer, between vehicle manufacture and registration. With a motorhome you have to consuder conversion and sales delays, if vehicle was not manufactured to order.
