Hi there
New to the forum hoping someone can help?

I’m using Multiecuscan v4.2 with an ELM 327 usb cable. When ever I try to connect I receive an “data corrupted” error.
Has anyone seen this error before?
Cheers

Hi, yes F9 works, The test function works fine, no errors. Only when I connect.

Have you tried to de/re-install the USB driver ?

Hi, removed and reinstalled drivers. Still get the data corrupted error while trying to connect. Very strange.

Some tips:
I use an old laptop with Win7 and don't use any Internet connection to prevent Windows updates and on the other hand to prevent security hacks from Internet.

My OBD USB interface contains the FTDI chipset which proved to be reliable.
WINDOWS COM port settings on this interface:
9600bits/8/n/1
driver version 10.4.2012 version 2.8.24.0

In MES Settings:
Interface type ELM327 1.3+
Speed 38400
I disabled High latency mode

I use MES version 1.2R1

Maybe this helps.

Windows 10 proved to be having more issues with USB interfaces.
