fuelly.com made easy.
look at fuel pump and read litres reading, look at odometer and load fuelly on your phone put both numbers in respective boxes click submit start engine and drive off.

I could never get this method to work, mainly due to me not always filling up full tankfuls.

think im on 35-40mpg in the bravo bus.

EDIT -
fuely says
46.1 on the bravo bus average.
47.2 on the seicento bus average (peaks of 56mpg :) not that i just blasted away most of it)

motorbikes
73mpg and 79mpg.. cant beat bikes in town :)

Done a few calculations from old fuel receipts and recent noted mileages

Better than i expected :) 47.7mpg average :D considering the mix of driving i do that's very decent, chuck in a few longer runs i recon i could get into the mid to high 50's, if i was really trying to be economical maybe even just creep into the very low 60's in no more. Mid 50's more likley though

I'm interested to see what the vec gives. My cali had the same engine albeit in a lighter and more slipstreamed car, but i was managing low 30's round town and very high 40's on longer runs

Very, very surprised about the 1.8 bravo's mpg. Having had the same basic engine i know what fuel consumption is like on it. The variator version i had is naturaly slightly more thirsty that the non vari one, but only by a couple of mpg tops.

It'll give an indication I guess if shes running well or not. I suspect not, but we'll see.

I sit on the A90 more or less the whole way to work. Once I'm on the dualler it's all easy going - but on a bad day, like today, it'll take me half an hour to do the 4-5 miles across town.

Bravo generally sits at 37 mpg but with the cold weather it's dropped to 34/35.... :( :(

It massively prefers sitting at a constant speed though, whilst below 3k rpm.
