Hello guys, my MP3 CD player all of a sudden isn't recognising MP3 format cds. When i insert an MP3 cd it just stays skipping from one track to another and from one folder to another and doesn't play anything. Though when i play a cd with Audio format it plays the CD normally. Is it a software related problem of the player?? Can it be resetted on site or better to contact FIAT dealership?? (Note that player was recognsing MP3 & audo files since i bpough it) Please help:)

Don't hurry to the dealers just yet. Is it a CDRW disc? If yes, burn it on lower speed (in fact that's valid for all cases) or try with CDRs. Clean the disc(s) - with water and soap - it's completely fine. You also have a "compressed" setting on the radio that's meant to improve playing of compressed audio, such as MP3.

Had exactly the same issue. Was caused by the fact I was using a CDRW, after which no other disc wanted to play. The problem fixed itself and I am still using the same CDRW, burned on 4x.

The cds i use r CDRs. But actually they were playing normally these last few maonths since i had the car, it just happened now. But i will try cleaning the CDs and heuse the compress option. Thanks for the info, really helpful

Actually about that "slow" burn speed. It was true(and still is) for crap media, but using high-quality Verbatim(MCC) or likewise you should have no issues burning at 48x+ speeds(CD-R). And that media will last you atleast 3-5 years while the cheap(at any speed) will be useless in 1-2 years MAX.
