Just myself the Grundig multi changer and was wondering where the best place to mount it is?

The cable in my Mk1 Brava appears to be quite short and comes from the top of the boot, next to the speaker mount. Would I be right in thinking this is correct and how can I get more length?

Finally, does the Grundig like CD-R and CD-RW?

Cheers

Holy s**t, this thing is bonkers!!!

Not sure about the Grundig CD changer, i've always used the Sony T69 cd changer and it played everything.

You could mount the CD changer under the rear seats like this...

Is that a ready made slot for the cd changer or is it custom???

I've a 10 disc changer and I stuck it to the back of the rear seats in the boot! Just wondering if it's possible to mount my 10 disk where you have Joske??

The slots already there. You just need fit the CD changer and cut a hole/flaps in the carpet. But i doubt a 10 Disc changer will fit.

Cheers Joske, for assuming the 10 disk won't fit, saves me making a right mess of my carpet! :)

the cable in mine comes from under the seat, this gives you a bit more wire if you want to mount the changer against the side of the boot. i imagine the cable is routed under the door sills- you should be able to move it without too much hassle, just a little bit of carpet lifting.

I mounted my 10 disc changer under the parcel shelf, next to the cable. I thought this was a good place as it negates anything thats in the boot, sliding into it. I just drilled a couple of holes in the parcel shelf and voila!. The only downside is that if you have to take out the parcel shelf, then it comes out too.
I've never had any problems playing cd-rs, dunno about cd-rws.
