Have any of you enginners ever attempted this if you have have you any details I remeber one member with a 4x4 that had one mounted with the words if you can read this I'm upside down.

Just that I'm getting the itch to do a project whilst waiting for snow to clear :)

I think Crashtest33 is (maybe thinking of) fiting one to camel. The panda is so light though you cant pull anything other than a bicycle with it or pul itself out of trouble.

There isn't really anywhere to mount it either on the front thats strong enough. Bumber will need a chuck cutting out too. If you have bull bars you could fabricate a bracket on the bottom and mount it on there, it would be a little to low then i suspect.

Certainly am me 'ol mukka!

I've fabricated a 6mm steel plate which is welded to the front bar of the sump guard, the plate then bends up and is bolted straight through the front of the car, underneath the rad, using 4 HT M10 bolts.
I've bought a 3000lbs Quadbike winch (y)

I'v asked to need an idea to be towed the front offers very little to choose from almost nothing. I'm looking at a mod for the front cross member jacking point a detchable eye or somthing based on the idea. Quick to fit easy use and remove(y)

May one make a suggestion ?

Some of the big boys have winch bumpers where they fit at least one towing ball, the idea being that a strap could be thrown over it for a quick rescue.
