Bess failed the Mot today, offside lower ball joint ball pin shank loose.
The wish bones were new about three weeks ago i had a look slackend it chaped the pin up a bit and then tightend the bolt to find it was just turning the threds were fooked.
Cant get another bolt until tomoz, and the garege that fitted it say they cant even take a look until next week, lot of fcuking good that is.
All this shi*e on top of no Angel tune either.
i just hope the new bolt solves the problem as the guy was talking about the hub housing that the pin goes into could be worn or the pin on the wish bone being to slim by a couple of mill, mabey been given the wrong wish bone for one side?????
But messured them and they look the same diameter of pin to me.
A well if i dont laugh and just focus on getting it sortted out i will proberbly Hit someone namley the guy that put it on

ah sh*t man! you too eh? still when tis done.......

why no angel tuning, because of the mot faliure? i guess so.

makes you wonder sometimes why we bother with garages, i always try to do my own repairs even if they are really awkard, i have never in 45yrs found an honest straight forward garage, and i have tried from the cheapest to the main dealers no one seems to give a toss these days, they just want yer cash!!! dont it make ya wanna spit?

chin up bey, it will be ok.

hoping mine will be sorted for the weekend.

happens all the time on the pinch bolts it does say that they are ment to be replaced that the same time as the wishbones. you can get new ones from fiat including the nut for about £2 its a diy job. im surprised that the mot guy didnt offer to replace the blot for a drink or something.

A so they should have replaced them with new ones! i dident know that myself, but i wont forget it though.

ye thats about what there charging me for the bolts but had to be orderd, wont get them til tomoz.

What do you think about the sugestion that the hub housing ware the pin goes in could be (worn)??

Dont think the guy even looked he just said there was to mutch play, and it would be worn or i had the wrong wishbone on one side, the pin being a few mill smaller,or the hob worn.

when i had a look i also noticed greese sepping from the joint but have been told they do that when new?? is that right.

I just hope the new bolt solves it.

Cheers Scotty.
