had my MOT earlier today
and failed on emmsions and 'offside front suspension joint has excessive play in a lower suspension ball joint'

ive had a search and cant find anything that relates to my situsation.
had a look on shop for parts and they dont seem to have any ball joints just suspsension arms.

my question is how much is a ball joint and how much will i expect to pay for labour, or is this a fairly simple task?

and what ways can i lower my emmissions. the readings are...

fast idle
Lambda = 1.11%

natural idle test
CO level = 4.75%

thanks in advance

Since the areas are your joints and emmisions may I suggest that:

1. You look at your diet, somethings may effect you greater than others, maybe leave off the curry a particular tinned food that I'd rather not mention.

2. Problem with joints you could try cod liver oil.

As for excessive play, I'm not even going to start on that one, particularly it's your ball joint that is in question!

I hope this sorts you out for your next MOT.

emissions cnt help you with that one....the part you need for suspension your properly better off findin a bravo/a marea that is being broken as spares

asit says it has play in it, is this a bushing i need or is it the entire joint (i have no idea what the suspension is made up of)
thanks

sounds of it, it could likely be the rubber joint on the suspensions that has worn away and needs replacing, even garage should be able to get that for you for pretty cheap

sweet
cheers for that.
ill get the car booked into somewhere that can tell me how to solve the emmisions

the emissions may be a nackerd catalystic convertor, i think when they have nackerd they start to smell liek ****, literally. eggy nasty. dont mark my words though.

cant smell that, just unburnt fuel
i dint think it would be the cat because the emmissions are supidly high.

its either that or the oxygen sensor, you`ll need to find out what it really is, before you start spendin money

BRAVO, why settle for anything less.

definatly
cos i have none! aha
get it booked into this garage asap then
apprently they know theyre s*it when it comes to emissions.

hey im a fiat tech with a bravo and a mot tester the free play normally means replace the wishbone can be a ball ache but not to bad the emissions, is the exhaust blowing anywhere that can throw the lambda readings out or evan a bigger exhaust if not then have a lambda probe check a fiat dealer can do this using the examiner and using the ad-444 to get readings
