hi no this might sound stupid but i got £200 - £400 to spend on my car soon what is is the best way for me to get better acceleration on my 1996 cinq sporting??? any help

also make sure that the brakes arn't sticking as that can hold the car back rather alot

super unleaded really only makes a big difference on performance engines. a good service will have a much bigger effect on performance. maybe bigger TB:idea:

:yeahthat:give it a dam good service and you will unleash some caged ponies i would also run a bottle of injector cleaner through as its worked on a couple of my old cars also check tire preassures as a low tire will hold you back a little every little helps on these small but fun cars

or if you are feeling brave drop a 1.2 8v in and tell your insurance comp i recon it could be done for less than 400 notes

losing un nessicary weight will make it a tad quicker and thats free as well

thanks all. um i think it had a service two month's ago. but i dont think it was as thorough as you said... and i cant drop a 1.2 yet cos i dnt think i got the time but that's a good idea 4 ina few of month's. so how much will a half decent exhaust system cost and how much will it up it over all???

Forget the exhaust. Make sure the wheel bearings are all OK, that the tyres are good quality and at the correct pressure.

Try giving the injector a good clean with some injector cleaner. did notice a different in my 899 93 cinq

but i am still looking to spend some money? should i just forget the exhaust and just get like a new fuel pump and filter, a decent cold air flow 4 my induction kit and stop driving fat people around??

Yup, as said, no need for a fuel pump, its not an STi.

Spend money on the right things and you will have a car that goes faster, handles better, and doesn't cause your underwriter palpitations.

no point running super unleaded in a cento. it dont have a knock sensor so it wont adapt to the fuel. also it actually burns slower and has less energy to it then unleaded. if it does anything to a cento running a standard ecu then its simply a placebo effect. my turbo cinq dont even get super unleaded other then for mot time which it gets a 50/50 mix of super unleaded and methonal for emissions (or lack of with that mix)
