General More Help Req!!

Could someone please tell me what this unit is? According to someone who replied in the technical section they think it could be the Airbag ECU.
As always, any help would be greatfully apreciated.

The link does work and it indicates that it is a "ELECTRONIC CONTROLUNIT " for "CENTRALIZED GRIP CONTROL " so my gues is that means abs brain .

The ePER page shows it with what could be an electric window or central locking relay, and also has references to the door lock pages.

My money's now on central locking ECU.

I'm not familiar with the Multipla but the location you describe is a normal place for an airbag ECU. If that's what it is, be sure to disconnect the battery and wait 20 minutes before you replace it.

Would disconnecting this cause airbag failure to come on, or for no airbag lights to come on at start up

no disconnecting central door locking shouldnt make airbag light come on
