General More GT questions

Hey guys, i've just been reading the previous GT post and its been helpful so far. I also am thinking about buying a GT over some of its contenders simply because it's a turbo. One thing I dont understand is all this talk about boost???? I know It's sounds stupid but I dont understand what you mean, "running on full boost" etc....
Excuse my stupidity and explain someone please?!

Boost is simply the air pressure that the turbocharger produces.
More pressure = more air into cylinders = more power!
