i practiced on my old centre console since have now fitted marea one, and it takes some hard work to smooth over those dimples, but agree it would look mean, thinkin about it now and would need some more time off work. lol
 
Hehe, I'm starting my fibreglassing for my screen tommorow, never done anything like it before - I've got a feeling I'm never going to finish it :D

where you putting your screen, tried with mine in the dash on top of the glove box and underneath where the ashtray and lighter are (obviously removing them) and have the housing for both, availabe for dollar if you love long time
 
My plan is to push the headunit to the back, the opposit of what you've done. Then mount the screen infront of the headunit, the headunit is only used for the aux-in so it's not a big deal that it wont be on show. Started planning it properly today but it's gunna take a bit more work and I think I'm going to buy a spare dash to work on.

Where did u all get ur displays from if u dont mind me askin? i went on a little ebay mission to find one but dont trust those sellers from HK. any advice?
 
hong kong is great for cheap electrics, half of its made there and no eu taxes, put a little faith in ebay how ever evil it is, and paypal will watch your back. you can get a din dvd, mmc, usb player bla bla bla for thirty odd quid, made in hong kong
